Dance Contempra Centre for Dance Education is an established dance studio located in Peachtree City, Georgia. The studio continues to serve its original purpose as a leading studio in the Metro Atlanta area, offering an array of dance styles for the past nineteen years. Dance Contempra provides a wide range of classes catering to students ages three and older. These styles of dance include: Classical Ballet, Contemporary Ballet, Hip-hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Musical Theater and Tap; as well as an Adult Ballet Fit program. Our dance philosophy is that the strongest dancers train in a variety of dance styles. Our program encourages that! Our faculty and staff are qualified and trained in their field of expertise. Many of our faculty have danced with professional companies and strive to help each student reach their short and long term goals. We focus on building the dancers technique while also developing personal relationships with the student to further aid in their career needs. Dance Contempra places its focus solely on the students. Performance opportunities are available for all student to participate in. These opportunities include the winter and spring performances produced by Dance Contempra, and community based performance such as Jazz on Tap; Ballet Fest and other arts organizations through school programs. Each show is performed entirely by our student body including the lead roles. Dance Contempra aims to develop an atmosphere that encompasses both the physical ability and love for dance. We are most proud of our seventeen years in the business and the students that have been a part of Dance Contempra.

 In our 24 years of business we have found that students who are taught in a stressful environment view dance, as well as instruction and performing, in a negative manner and ultimately end their dance careers prematurely. It is because of our positive and hands on approach to instruction that we “graduate” more students of dance than competing studios in the area. Dance Contempra’s teaching philosophy encompasses both the physical and academic aspects of dance. We understand the importance that society has places on college degrees and push our students to consider all options of pursuing a higher education. We pride ourselves on the number of our students who have moved on to dance, teach, and perform as professionals in the community. Our philosophy encourages both the parents and the students to understand the benefits of dance within the studio and outside of it (including improvement in posture, poise, confidence, mind-body coordination, flexibility, and discipline to list a few). We strive to bring positive dance education to all ages and genders as a way to aid in the student’s success through all aspects of life.
